  • First look at the new redesigned iPad mini with thinner bezels, no home button, and flat edges

    Today Jon Prosser shared renders as well as information on the new iPad mini. According to Prosser these images are based on real images he received of the device. Jon Prosser claims that the new iPad mini will have thinner bezels with no home button similar to the iPad Air and iPad Pro. There will also be Touch ID on the power button like the iPad Air and we will finally see a USB C port on the device. The iPad mini is also reported to have a better speaker system than the previous models. It is going to be available in three colors which includes silver, black, and gold. The iPad mini will be powered by the A14 chip and will also have support for 5G like the iPhone 12 models and the new 2021 iPad Pro. Apple will also introduce a new smaller Apple Pencil to use with the new iPad mini. Prosser did share the dimensions of the iPad mini with us which is 206.3mm x 137.8mm x 6.1mm, but we didn’t get any information based on what the display size will be. Apple hasn’t updated the iPad mini in a long time so it’s not clear when we can possibly see it coming.

  • New M1X MacBook listed in YouTube Tags for the Apple WWDC 2021 keynote

    Rumors from Jon Prosser before the WWDC 2021 keynote on Monday suggested that Apple will release the new MacBook Pro with the M1X chip at the event. Although we didn’t see any new MacBook Pro or hardware at the event, Max Balzer on Twitter shared that Apple listed “m1x MacBook Pro” and “m1x” in the YouTube Tags for the WWDC 2021 keynote. It’s not clear what this means since there wasn’t any hardware at the event, but we can probably confirm that the next Apple Silicon chip will be called M1X. Previous rumors from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has suggested that Apple is planning on releasing a new redesigned MacBook Pro sometime this summer. It’s possible that we can see it very soon.

  • tvOS 15 comes with many new features as well as updates to Siri

    Today Apple announced tvOS 15 which has many new features for your home as well as new features coming to the Apple TV. With tvOS 15 there’s new support for Spatial Audio when watching a film with AirPods Pro and AirPods Max on. Apple also announced that the new Lossless Audio feature will be available later this year. Now you can use your HomePod mini as speakers for the Apple TV to improve the sound quality while watching your favorite shows and movies. Siri is now available on 3rd party devices and you can now use “Hey Siri” to play movies and shows on your Apple TV. With Apple TV+ users can now get movies in their recommended that they can all enjoy. This feature will pick out movies that the whole family can watch based on each persons movie preferences. That’s everything that’s new with tvOS 15.

  • Apple launched macOS Monterey with updates to Safari and a new Universal App control feature

    Today Apple launched the new version of macOS called macOS Monterey. macOS Monterey has some minor updates when compared to last year’s release of macOS Big Sur. There’s a new Universal App Control feature which allows you to control different Apple devices just from your Mac wirelessly. AirPlay to Mac allows you to play a movie from your iPhone or iPad on your Mac. It’s similar to how AirPlay allows you play movies on your TV from your iPhone. You can also play songs from your iPhone on your Mac using the buit in speakers. There are major design changes to Safari. Safari has a brand new UI with new tabs and a section for the types of tabs you will need open while working on something. Apple is also introducing web extensions for Safari. These new changes are available on all devices. That’s everything we saw for macOS Monterey at WWDC.

  • iPadOS 15 has a brand new UI with new widget sizes

    Apple announced iPadOS 15 with a new user interface and customizable widgets which you can move around. There’s a new shelf section added in the multi tasking menu which displays all apps that you have open. With iPadOS 15 there are new keyboard shortcuts which make everything much easier. This means that you barely ever have to lift up your finger to navigate something on the screen. In the notes app there’s a new Quick Note feature which allows you to instantly access your notepad whenever you want to write something down. There’s also a new activity view and tags section. The translate app which was previously available on iOS is now also available on iPadOS 15. There are also new languages added that you can translate to. Finally with iPadOS 15 you can now build your apps on your iPad using Swift Playground.

  • New updates to watchOS 8 with health features and new watch faces

    Today Apple announced watchOS 8 with many new features that improve your Apple Watch experience. The sleep app on your watch now monitors your respiratory rate while sleeping. There’s a new mindfulness app which allows you to meditate and breathe properly. This helps you relax and stay calm while meditating. The new portrait watch face shows photos in portrait mode which are interactive and have different layers. The photos app on the Apple Watch has a new user interface with a new mosaic layout look. Finally there are updates to iMessages with a new look and new way to chat on your watch.

  • New updates and audio improvements coming to AirPods

    Today Apple announced new features that they’re bringing to the AirPods lineup. Apple launched a new feature called Conversation Boost which allows users to hear people who are speaking around them better with AirPods on. From now on Siri will read out loud all notifications sent to a user instead of just reading out messages. Finally you can now easily locate your lost AirPods on the Find My app. This also always you to play sound to your AirPods to help locate them better.

  • Apple announced iOS 15 with many new features coming to FaceTime, iMessages, and more

    Today Apple announced iOS 15 with many new features at their WWDC 2021 keynote. Here’s a look at everything we saw. For FaceTime we got new Spatial Audio features, voice isolation which eliminates background noise, and wide spectrum audio. We also got a new video capture and portrait mode feature which will blur out everything in your background so you’re the main focus of the video chat. There’s also SharePlay which you can use to share music, watch movies, and share your screen all in the FaceTime call. iMessages is getting major updates to its UI and a new photo collage which will be on the chat. There’s also a new Shared For You feature which will work on multiple platforms. Notifications are getting a new look. The new Summary View feature will let you organize your notifications so you can view them whenever your want. There’s also a new Focus feature which will get rid of notifications and only give you the important ones when enabled. In the photos app you can now copy and paste text from an image and also search for that by clicking on it. In the Wallet App you will now be able to add your ID where it will be securely stored. Hotels like Hyaat will soon allow guests to use virtual keys from their iPhone to unlock room doors using UWB technology. The weather app has a new UI with new icons and graphs, there’s also a map which shows you the temperature in different parts of the world. Finally in the maps app there’s a new globe view feature which shows you precise details of a certain area. There’s also a new 3D view which will show you renders of a certain area along with a new nighttime view. These are all the new updates coming to iOS 15.

  • What to expect at tomorrow’s Apple WWDC 2021 event?

    Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference will kick off with a keynote tomorrow at 10am PDT. We will see the introduction of new softwares and some hardware at the event. The new 14-inch and 16-inch redesigned MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon might debut at this event. The MacBook Pro will also have additional I/O like HDMI, Thunderbolt/USB C ports and an SD card slot. We might also see the return of MagSafe. Apple will also remove the Touch Bar from the MacBook Pro and replace it will traditional function keys. We might also see updates to the new Apple Silicon chips. Apple is rumored to launch the new M1X or M2 chip which will replace the M1 chip. Apple is working on 10-core Apple Silicon chips with up to a 32 core GPU and 64GB of RAM. There will also be updates to the operating systems like iOS 15, iPadOS 15, tvOS 15, watchOS 8, and macOS 12. This year we have little to no information about what to expect for the new OS but rumors hint at what we could possibly see. iOS and iPadOS 15 will have a few updates. There will be updates to iMessages, updates for notifications, a new food tracking feature in the health app, updates to the user interface and home screen, and new accessibility features. For tvOS 15 and watchOS 8 we don’t have any information but it will most likely be minor updates. There’s also no information available on the new version of macOS, but we do know that it will be called macOS 12 and it will either be called macOS Mammoth or Monterey. macOS 11 was called macOS Big Sur. Lastly we might see a new operating system at the event called homeOS. It was mentioned in a job opening for Apple but was then later removed. tvOS runs both the Apple TV and HomePod devices so it is possible for a new operating system just for the home to be launched.   • New iPad Pro, iPad mini, and iPad 9th generation rumors

    A new report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman indicates that there are many new features and new design changes that are coming to the iPad lineup very soon. The 2022 iPad Pro is rumored to have a new glass back which will replace the aluminum case. This will enable wireless charging and Apple is also rumored to be testing MagSafe which is found on the iPhone 12 for the new iPad Pro lineup. The new iPad Pro might also be able to reverse charge accessories like AirPods. The iPad mini will also see massive design changes. The new iPad mini will have thinner bezels with no home button and will have a similar design to the iPad Pro and iPad Air. We might also see it get boxy edges like the new iPad and iPhone models. It’s not clear when this will be available but many rumors suggest it will happen very soon. Lastly the iPad 9th generation which is the base level iPad will be thinner than previous models and will still be a device aimed towards students. It will still start at $329 and will most likely not see any major design changes. Mark Gurman has a very reliable track record so it is possible that we might see these new features happening very soon.

  • The new Beats Studio Buds design got leaked in a new image

    A new image shared by MySmartPrice shows the new Beats Studio Buds. Beats Studio Buds was recently leaked by MacRumors who discovered images of them in iOS 14.6 and tvOS 14.6. The Beats Studio Buds are completely different from the entire Beats lineup since they don’t have any ear wrap or wires that connect one earbud to another. Previous rumors have also suggested that the second generation AirPods Pro will have a similar design to the Beats Studio Buds. The Beats Studio Buds will also come with an oval charging case. It will also be available in white, black, and red. It’s not clear yet when we will see them.

  • The new high end Mac mini will be much thinner than the previous model and will have multiple ports

    In a new video from Jon Prosser on YouTube, he shows us renders of the new high end Mac mini. The new high end Mac mini will feature multiple ports like HDMI, four thunderbolt, two USB-A, Ethernet, and a magnetic power port similar to the one found on the new 24” iMac. Prosser also claims that Apple will have the same two-tone color options on the iMac available on the new Mac mini. Apple already updated the Mac mini last year at their November keynote with the new M1 chip inside. So it’s unlikely that Apple will update it again anytime soon, but sources like Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman claim that the new high end Mac mini will eventually replace the Intel Mac mini.
