More Apple products might ditch the lightning port in favor of USB-C ports, according to a new report made on Twitter by Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo.
According to Kuo, Apple will switch products like AirPods, Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad, and MagSafe Battery Pack to USB-C and ditch the lightning port.
Kuo also gave an update on his response to his previous rumor about the iPhone 15 ditching the lightning port for USB-C. He claims that Apple will most likely switch to USB-C instead of going completely port-less since there are current limitations to wireless technology which will make the transition to a port-less iPhone difficult.
With more Apple products ditching the lightning port in favor of a USB-C port, it’s possible that the iconic lightning port will get discontinued in a couple of years.
