Today YouTube announced a new look to their app for iOS and Android which will include many new features to improve the viewing experience.
A new "ambient mode" will change the background color to math that if the playing video to have viewers focus on the content that's playing. This will work when dark mode is enabled. Dark mode is also has a more more darker look.
YouTube will also implement a new a way to find a spot in a video precisely with a bunch of images from the scene you want to see.
YouTube also updated the video player with links on the description of a video turning into clickable buttons as well as a redesign to the subscribe button which will no longer be red.
A key feature coming is pinch to zoom which allows users to to zoom in and out of a video.
The new app update will help YouTube improve their viewing experience.
