Ming Chi Kuo dropped a new report on the next generation MacBook Air. The report mentions the same details he reported on back in July. Kuo’s new report mentioned that Apple is planning to launch the MacBook Air in multiple colors. He also stated that the new MacBook Air will be very similar to the upcoming MacBook Pro which is supposed to launch this Fall.

Kuo followed up his report by saying the new MacBook Air will launch in mid-2022. Kuo also said that BOE will be manufacturing the mini-LED displays for the next generation MacBook Air.

The new MacBook Air will have a new design. It will have boxy edges all around like the iPad Pro and will be very thin. The new MacBook Air will also have an updated Apple Silicon chip. Kuo claims that Apple will no longer sell the M1 MacBook Air after they launch the new one.

The new MacBook Air will have many new features and it will be a major upgrade to the MacBook Air in a while. The last time we got a major update for the MacBook Air was back in Fall 2018.
