Apple has introduced Tap to Pay on iPhone in France, allowing businesses of all sizes to use iPhones as payment terminals.
Initially launched in the U.S. in February 2022, Tap to Pay enables iPhones to accept payments through Apple Pay, contactless cards, and other digital wallets. This feature, available on iPhone XS and newer models, requires no additional hardware and ensures secure, encrypted transactions.
French customers can now access Tap to Pay through banking groups like BPCE and various other providers, with additional support expected from entities like BNP Paribas in the future.
France joins the list of countries, including the U.K., Australia, Taiwan, Brazil, Ukraine, and the Netherlands, supporting Tap to Pay on iPhone.
