New iMac with the M3 chip could launch at a later date in 2023

Apple is working on a new iMac model with the M3 chip that could launch sometime next year according to a new report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.

We still haven’t been able to see what the M2 chip will be like so there aren’t any details avaliable about the M3 chip yet. Apple recently finished announcing all their variations for the M1 chip which included the M1, M1 Pro, M1 Max, and M1 Ultra.

In a previous report from Gurman, he claimed that Apple is working on several Macs with the M2 chip which include:

  • Entry level MacBook Air, Mac mini, and MacBook Pro with M2.

  • 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max

  • A new chip which is equivalent to the M1 Ultra for the Mac Pro and Mac Studio

Gurman also claims that new Macs with the M2 Chip could launch as early as June of this year at WWDC.

Apple currently offers the 24-inch iMac with M1. The 27-inch model was discontinued and previous rumors suggested that Apple has no plans to release a new model to replace it.
