Apple is planning to release a new cheaper Apple TV model later this year, according to a new rumor from Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo.
Kuo claims that the new Apple TV model is set to release sometime in the second half of this year. He also claims that this new Apple TV model will allow Apple to compete with other companies like Amazon, Roku, and Google who all have cheaper alternatives for their smart tv products.
Since it’s release, Apple has never offered a cheaper alternative for the Apple TV. There’s a possibility that Apple might take the TV stick route with the new model which their competitors have took to make a cheaper model.
The new cheaper Apple TV model will bring in more users to experience tvOS for a much affordable price.
