According to a new report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the low end iPhone 14 models will not feature improvements to the camera lenses as well as the new A16 Bionic chip.
Gurman claimed that Apple is trying to figure out more ways to differentiate their Pro lineup models from the regular basic lineup models.
One way Apple is making both models different is by making the new 48MP Wide camera exclusive on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models. The regular iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max models will still have the 12MP Wide camera from the iPhone 13 models.
Apple is also planning to keep the new A16 Bionic chip exclusive to the iPhone 14 Pro models as well, by keeping the same A15 Bionic chip on the regular iPhone 14 models from the iPhone 13 models.
This was previously rumored by Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo who claimed that the standard iPhone 14 models will still have the A15 Bionic chip.
Gurman also claimed that Apple is still planning to introduce a satellite connectivity feature on the iPhone 14 models.
Gurman also believes that the iPhone 14 will have a very similar design to the iPhone 13 with the Pro models featuring the new pill shaped + hole punch cutout as a replacement for the notch.
The new iPhone 14 models will launch In September at Apple’s annual September event.
