Apple just launched the new iPhone 14 models and the question that everyone has on their mind is if they should upgrade.
The answer really depends on you and what your preferences are, like if you have an old iPhone, or you want to trade in, maybe you like the new features, and etc.
For users with the iPhone 13 Pro they won't see any significant changes since the iPhone 13 Pro shares most of the features that the iPhone 14 Pro has. Despite that though, there are a few advancements to the camera. The iPhone 14 Pro now has a 48MP main camera compared to the iPhone 13 Pro's 12MP main camera. It can also shoot better low-light photos with better image quality with the new Photonic engine. There's also an Always-on-Display, and features like Emergency SOS via Satellite, crash detection. There's also the new Dynamic Island which replaces the notch. Other than that the two models are very similar to each other.
Users who have an iPhone 11 Pro or older might consider upgrading since they can enjoy many of the new features like 5G, Pro Motion display, better camera quality, larger screen size, MagSafe, and the new flat edge design introduced with the iPhone 12 lineup.
Apple offers trade ins for users who want a new iPhone by simply trading in your old iPhone for a subsidy up to $720 depending on your iPhone model.
There's also the iPhone upgrade program where you can $40-$50 a month to get the latest the iPhone whenever it comes out.
To summarize, users with the iPhone 12 Pro or later won't experience any ground breaking new features when they upgrade to the iPhone 14 Pro, but on the other hand, users with the iPhone 11 Pro or older will probably find upgrading to the new iPhone worth it.
