According to a new report from Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus have seen low demand in pre orders which is worse than the demand for the iPhone 13 mini.
The analyst claims that the fact that orders are being delayed to four weeks from launch day is a good sign that demand is good for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, but he also claims that it is neutral when compared to the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Kuo also claims that Apple might have to cut shipments to to the low demand for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus models.
According to Kuo, pre orders for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus is worse than pre orders for the third generation iPhone SE and iPhone 13 mini.
Kuo claims that if demand for the entry level iPhone 14 models doesn't improve soon, Apple might have to cut orders as soon as November which could result in suppliers loosing revenue, especially those who don't get that many projects from Apple.
The iPhone 14 Plus was created by Apple to replace the previous iPhone 12 and 13 mini models which weren't as popular as some of the other models in the lineup. Apple has failed with the mini category and had to cut back on orders early. Apple hoped that by selling a lager form factor iPhone at a low price will help them increase demand but demand for the iPhone 14 Plus is even lower than the iPhone 13 mini.
You can pre order the new iPhone 14 models today and they will be available this Friday with the iPhone 14 Plus being available on Friday October 7.
