Here’s what to expect at tomorrow’s Apple event, new redesigned MacBooks, AirPods, and more

Apple is holding their virtual event tomorrow at 10am PDT. The event is mainly going to be about the Mac and the new Apple Silicon chip. Here’s a list of everything you can expect to see at tomorrow’s event.

New Redesigned MacBook Pros

Apple plans to announce a new redesigned MacBook Pro. The new MacBook Pro will have a larger display with smaller bezels and a thinner chassis than the previous versions. It will also have more I/O ports like HDMI, SD card slot, USB C, and MagSafe will return as the primary charging method on the MacBook Pros.

The display will be a 120Hz Pro Motion Mini-LED display. Rumors have suggested that Apple is using the same display suppliers they have used for the new iPad Pro which also has a 120Hz Pro Motion Mini-LED display.

New rumors suggest that Apple is planing to bring the notch over from the iPhone to the MacBook Pro. The notch will include the True Tone sensor along with a new 1080p front facing camera. It’s not clear if Face ID will be available on the MacBook Pro since Apple has a Touch ID sensor on the MacBook Pro and it’s expected to revive a new upgrade.

Finally, Apple plans on removing the Touch Bar on the MacBook Pro. It was first released on the new redesigned MacBook Pro in 2016 but was later on hated by majority of MacBook Pro users. There will also be a new charging brick for faster charging. The new MacBook Pro will be the biggest upgrade since 2016.

New Apple Silicon Chip

Apple is also planning to launch the new version of the M1 chip. The new chip is rumored to be called the M1 Max or M1 Pro chip. These names have appeared on Apple’s logs right before the event tomorrow.

The new M1 Max or M1 Pro chip will be more powerful by having eight high performance cores along with two energy efficient cores. It will also be powered by a 10 core CPU. For the GPU, Apple plans to have different options which include a 16 core GPU option and a 32 core GPU option.

The new AirPods 3 has been leaked a while back. It was rumored to come at WWDC and recently at the Apple September event but still hasn’t been announced yet. New rumors are claiming that Apple will most likely launch it at tomorrow’s event since they want it out right before the holiday season.

AirPods 3 will have a new design similar to the AirPods Pro. It will have a new wireless charging case with faster charging and will still have the same price.

macOS Monterey

Tomorrow Apple is expected to give us a release date for macOS Monterey which was announced back in WWDC in June. The new update has a bunch of new features and will work great alongside the new Macs.

You can watch the Apple event tomorrow at 10am PDT on apple.com or YouTube.
