As summer approaches, anticipation builds for the expected September release of the iPhone 16 lineup. Analyst Ross Young has provided a fresh update on the upcoming models, sharing insights on X about the start of display production.
According to Young, the production of displays for the new iPhone 16 models will commence in June, aligning with the timeline followed for last year's iPhone 15. This schedule suggests that the iPhone 16 will likely debut around mid-September, similar to its predecessor.
The iPhone 16 series will once again feature four models. Young notes that the standard iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16 Pro will see the highest production volumes in June, with production for the iPhone 16 Plus and iPhone 16 Pro Max displays expected to ramp up later in the summer.
Additionally, dummy units of the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max have surfaced, showcasing the anticipated larger display sizes. This marks the first significant increase in display size since the iPhone 12 series, hinting at notable design changes for this year's Pro models.
