Apple will most likely launch the Apple Vision Pro in February of next year

The launch of Apple's much-anticipated Vision Pro headset, initially slated for "early next year," is now speculated to occur as early as February, as reported by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

Given the device's hefty price tag of $3,499 and potential supply constraints, it is expected to skip a dedicated launch event. Instead, preparations are underway to train Apple Store staff in assisting users with fitting adjustments and prescription lens choices.

This marks Apple's foray into a novel hardware platform, introducing the visionOS software. Gurman hints at an upcoming version of the software in 2024, aligning with regular updates for Mac and iPhone software.

The recent release of iOS 17.2 introduces 3D-encoded spatial videos, captured by the iPhone 15 Pro, to be fully experienced on the Vision Pro headset.

Developers are receiving notices to "get ready" for the imminent launch, suggesting the creation of specialized software for virtual and mixed reality environments, in addition to compatibility with iPad and iPhone apps accessible through the Vision Pro.

While potential delays are acknowledged, reports indicate that production in China has been operating at full capacity for weeks, with plans to have retail units ready by the end of January.
