Apple delayed the reopening of its office for the return of mandatory in person working which was supposed to begin in September. The reopening was delayed by a month last week because of the sudden surge in COVID-19 cases caused by the Delta Variant.
Now a new report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says that Apple will cancel its plans to hold an in person event this year and will instead hold a virtual one for the announcement of the iPhone 13.
The last in person event from Apple was back in September 2019 with the launch of the iPhone 11. If this ends up being true, it will be Apple’s second virtual September event.
The iPhone 13 will still launch in September this year compared to the iPhone 12 which was delayed to October because of the pandemic.
