Apple’s new M4 MacBook Pro lineup sets record with up to 24-hour battery life

Apple’s latest MacBook Pro lineup brings substantial improvements in battery performance, setting a new benchmark for longevity on a single charge.

Across both 14-inch and 16-inch models, users will find that the M4 series offers extended battery life compared to last year’s M3 versions. Notably, the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the base M4 chip now achieves up to 24 hours of battery life, the longest ever reported for a Mac, providing a full day of power that’s ideal for on-the-go productivity.

For those opting for the high-performance M4 Pro or M4 Max configurations, the battery life continues to impress. In the 14-inch model, these chips allow up to 22 hours of continuous use, while the 16-inch model maintains the record-breaking 24-hour capacity, making it an excellent choice for intensive professional work that demands both speed and durability.

Compared to the M3 Pro and Max versions, which provided up to 18 hours on the 14-inch model, this year’s enhancements deliver four additional hours of battery for the M4 14-inch base model and two extra hours for M4 Pro/Max models, giving users a noticeable upgrade in endurance.
