Apple has announced the opening of its first retail store in Malaysia, situated in the bustling business district of Kuala Lumpur's Tun Razak Exchange (TRX). Named Apple The Exchange TRX, this new store will officially open its doors to the public on Saturday, June 22.
Employing over 160 team members, Apple The Exchange TRX aims to provide a comprehensive customer experience. The staff will assist visitors in exploring the latest iPhone 15 models and the newly launched iPad Pro featuring the M4 chipset.
The store will host a variety of free educational sessions as part of the Today at Apple program. Led by Apple Creatives, these sessions will cover a range of topics from basic device tutorials to advanced photography and video editing workshops. To mark the store's opening, a special Today at Apple series titled "Jom Discover" will run from June 22 to July 6. This series will feature prominent Malaysian creators, including performances by De Fam, photography workshops with Jason Smashpop, video editing tips from Adam Lobo, productivity sessions with Iman Azman, and wellness advice from Nana Mohd.
Apple The Exchange TRX is architecturally impressive, linking the mall's central atrium to a rooftop park. The store boasts a unique three-dimensional roof with glass panels and shading blades, a central glazed oculus for natural light, and a quartz and glass staircase that connects its three levels. The upper level opens to the park, bringing in natural light and greenery to enhance the shopping experience.
In line with Apple's commitment to sustainability, Apple The Exchange TRX operates on 100% renewable energy and claims to be carbon neutral. The store's design incorporates high-quality materials such as natural stone walls, stainless-steel columns, terrazzo floors, and a timber ceiling, reflecting Apple's dedication to both aesthetics and environmental responsibility.
