Today Apple released the new firmware update 4A400 for the AirPods 2, AirPods Pro, and AirPods Max. There’s also a new firmware, 4A394, for the Beats Solo Pro, PowerBeats Pro, and PowerBeats 4. The last firmware update for AirPods was 3E751 for the AirPods 2 and AirPods Pro and 3E756 for the AirPods Max.
The new firmware has a variety of features, like allowing you to track your AirPods from the Find My App. The tracking process works very similar to how AirTags work. You hold up your phone and it will direct you to the precise location of where you left your AirPods by coming into contact with other Apple products.
The new firmware also gives AirPods a new Conversation Boost feature. This feature is designed to allow people who have trouble hearing hear better by having the microphones on the AirPods increase the volume of a person who is talking in front of you. This makes it easier for people to hear and understand what is being said to them by other people who are talking to them.
Other than these features, there isn’t any other feature we know about. Apple didn’t release any notes about the new firmware so we have to check it out for ourselves.
