iPhone

Apple has launched some Apple Intelligence features as part of the iOS 18.1 developer beta, marking a significant advancement in its artificial intelligence capabilities. The new features aims to enhance Siri's functionality, offer AI-generated summaries for emails and messages, improve photo management, and provide advanced text-generation tools.

Currently, the software is accessible exclusively to registered Apple developers who must register on a waitlist via Apple’s settings app to use Apple Intelligence. The full public release is slated for later this year, but it will not coincide with the upcoming iPhone launch, which will run on iOS 18.

Key features included in this initial preview are:

  • A redesigned Siri interface with an edge-glowing visual effect.

  • Enhanced Siri capabilities, such as better understanding of imperfect speech and answering troubleshooting questions.

  • Improved tools for photo searches, movie creation, and email summaries.

  • Writing Tools for text generation.

Future updates planned for Apple Intelligence include:

  • AI-powered image and emoji generation.

  • Automated photo cleanup.

  • Expanded Siri functionalities, including deeper integration with personal data and app actions.

  • Integration with OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

These features are expected to be available for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models initially, with potential expansion to newer devices. Analysts believe these AI enhancements will drive substantial upgrades and bolster iPhone sales in the coming years.
