According to a new report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple doesn’t plan to announce the AirPods Pro 2 until 2022.
Apple was previously rumored to be working on a new version of the AirPods Pro with no stems, a better chip, and a design similar to the Samsung Galaxy Buds or Google Pixel Buds. It was previously rumored to launch sometime this year, but has been pushed back many times.
Mark Gurman today said
“I don’t think there will be an AirPods Pro hardware refresh until 2022”
Apple is still expected to launch the new AirPods 3 which is the lower end version as early as next month. Recent rumors predict an appearance of the new AirPods at the Apple September event.
