Apple has finally discontinued the iPod touch after selling the product for many years with no updates.

The last update to the iPod touch was back in May 2019 when Apple slightly updated the specs with the new A10 fusion chip.

Apple launched the iPod touch a couple of months after they launched the new revolutionary iPhone which was the first device of its kind.

The iPhone was able to do everything the iPod touch could do and more so the iPod was no longer needed back then.

The iPod touch is still available for purchase on apple.com and Apple retail stores while supplies last.
