Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo's latest remarks have added another layer of uncertainty to the long-running Apple Car project also known as "Project Titan". While Apple's foray into the automotive industry has been a topic of speculation for over a decade, Kuo now admits to having "lost all visibility" on the project, casting doubts on when, or if, the Apple Car will see the light of day.
Kuo's skepticism revolves around Apple's approach to entering the automotive market. He suggests that without an acquisition strategy, it's unlikely the Apple Car will enter mass production in the coming years. This follows Kuo's earlier statement in March, where he hinted at the dissolution of the Apple Car team and raised concerns about a 2025 launch.
However, not all experts share Kuo's skepticism. Daniel Ives, an analyst at Wedbush, maintains that the arrival of the Apple Car is a matter of "when, not if," and he anticipates a potential launch by 2026.
The Apple Car remains a project shrouded in mystery and delays, with predictions varying widely. Despite the persistent speculation, it continues to be a project that always appears to be just out of reach, even as its inevitability remains a persistent topic of discussion.
