Today Apple announced iOS 15 with many new features at their WWDC 2021 keynote. Here’s a look at everything we saw.
For FaceTime we got new Spatial Audio features, voice isolation which eliminates background noise, and wide spectrum audio. We also got a new video capture and portrait mode feature which will blur out everything in your background so you’re the main focus of the video chat. There’s also SharePlay which you can use to share music, watch movies, and share your screen all in the FaceTime call.
iMessages is getting major updates to its UI and a new photo collage which will be on the chat. There’s also a new Shared For You feature which will work on multiple platforms.
Notifications are getting a new look. The new Summary View feature will let you organize your notifications so you can view them whenever your want. There’s also a new Focus feature which will get rid of notifications and only give you the important ones when enabled.
In the photos app you can now copy and paste text from an image and also search for that by clicking on it.
In the Wallet App you will now be able to add your ID where it will be securely stored. Hotels like Hyaat will soon allow guests to use virtual keys from their iPhone to unlock room doors using UWB technology.
The weather app has a new UI with new icons and graphs, there’s also a map which shows you the temperature in different parts of the world.
Finally in the maps app there’s a new globe view feature which shows you precise details of a certain area. There’s also a new 3D view which will show you renders of a certain area along with a new nighttime view.
These are all the new updates coming to iOS 15.
