Analyst claims the next generation AirPods Pro might launch in the second half of 2022

Apple plans to launch the new second generation AirPods Pro in the second half of 2022 according to a new tweet by Apple Analyst Ming Chi Kuo.

AirPods Pro we’re released in October of 2019 which was a long time ago, so it’s possible that se might see a new model very soon.

The last update for the AirPods Pro was alongside the new third generation AirPods in October 2021 with the inclusion of support for MagSafe.

Kuo also claimed that the demand for the third generation AirPods is significantly than the demand for the second generation AirPods.

Kuo also claims that Apple will most likely discontinue the AirPods Pro after the launch of the second generation AirPods to avoid making the same mistake they did with selling both the second generation AirPods and the third generation AirPods side by side.

The weak demand for the third generation AirPods caused Apple to cut production by 30%.

According to previous rumors from Kuo about the second generation AirPods Pro, Apple will include significantly upgraded wireless chips in the new AirPods Pro. This will improve the battery life as well as allow AirPods Pro to have support for lossless audio.

The charging case for the new AirPods Pro will also be able to emit sound to help users locate them. Leaked images of the case has showed speaker grills on the bottom of the case.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has also said that Apple is planning to launch an all new redesign AirPods Pro with no stems and trying to make the device smaller and it will look very similar to the Galaxy buds or pixel buds.
