AirPods Pro 2 charging case will still feature the lightning port instead of USB-C

Recent rumors suggested that Apple will make the switch to USB-C on the iPhone 15 and some of their accessories like AirPods, but in a series of new tweets from Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo, he claims that it seems unlikely that Apple will switch and is now backing down on his previous leaks.

Kuo now claims that he believes that the future AirPods Pro 2 models will still feature a lightning port instead of USB-C on the charging case.

He also claims how he predicts the switch won’t happen since Apple’s high end AirPods Max model also features a lightning port instead of a USB-C port.

Kuo also claims that AirPods Pro 2 are still set to launch in the second half of this year.
