AirPods Pro and AirPods 3 are great options when choosing wireless earbuds. They both offer better sound quality and have a ton of features. Both AirPods models also fit comfortably in your ear.
AirPods 3rd Generation
Let’s start this review off with AirPods 3. AirPods 3 was recently launched at Apple’s October 2021 event. The new generation of AirPods has a new design with shorter stems.
It also has features like spatial audio which gives you a surround sound experience. There’s also Adaptive EQ which adjusts the frequencies of your sound based on what you’re listening to.
AirPods 3 can deliver up to 6 hours of battery life on a single charge, and with the wireless charging case you will get up to 30 hours of battery life.
AirPods 3 also has an IPX4 sweat and water resistance rating. So you can do anything from working out in the rain or doing intense workouts. This rating also apply’s for the wireless charging case.
AirPods Pro
On the other hand the AirPods Pro are also great wireless earbuds. They we’re launched back in 2019 and they have a ton of features.
The AirPods Pro has a similar design to the AirPods 3. They both have shorter stems and a rounded design. However, the AirPods Pro has rubber ear tips that seals your ears to provide better sound quality than the AirPods 3.
The rubber tips on the AirPods Pro add more features like Active Noise cancellation or ANC which blocks out all sound from the outside world, and Transparency mode which allows you to still hear people when listening to music. There’s also Adaptive EQ and Spatial Audio.
AirPods Pro can also last up to 4.5 hours on a single charge. With the wireless charging case you will get up to 24 hours of battery life on a single charge.
AirPods Pro has an IPX4 rating which means it’s water and sweat resistant and you can workout in the rain or be doing other hard tasks with them on.
Final Review
Both the AirPods Pro and AirPods 3 have really good sound quality, they both have Spatial Audio and Adaptive EQ, but AirPods Pro offers ANC and Transparency mode which are amazing features. Also, The battery life is better on the AirPods 3 than the AirPods Pro.
If you’re someone who’s just looking for a cheap pair of AirPods with decent sound quality, then you should get AirPods 3 for $179, but if you’re someone who wants to have really good sound quality while listening to music and also prefer having features like ANC and transparency mode, you should spend $70 more and get the $249 AirPods Pro.
Regardless of which model you’re getting, you’re still going to have the MagSafe charging case, Hey Siri functionality, Automatic pairing, Audio Share, and Apple’s amazing software for AirPods.
