New iPad Pro and iPad Air models expected to launch at the end of March or April

A new report from Mark Gurman at Bloomberg claims that Apple is gearing up to launch revamped versions of its iPad Pro and iPad Air models, with an expected release "around the end of March or in April." Gurman also hinted at the simultaneous launch of new accessories like the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil.

Gurman's latest insights shed light on Apple's tailored preparations for the upcoming iPads, including a specialized version of the already-released iPadOS 17.4 update. The anticipated announcements for the March-April timeframe encompass:

New iPad Pro iterations, likely to sport the powerful M3 chip, vibrant OLED displays, sleeker designs, and innovative features such as a landscape-oriented front camera and redesigned rear camera bump. MagSafe wireless charging support may also be in the cards.

Fresh iterations of the iPad Air, expected to be fueled by the advanced M2 chip, with a landscape-oriented front camera. Notably, a 12.9-inch variant is speculated to join the lineup for the first time, catering to users seeking larger displays.

An upgraded Magic Keyboard specially crafted for the iPad Pro, featuring enhancements like a larger trackpad and a more refined aluminum enclosure.

A next-generation Apple Pencil, poised to offer improved functionality and compatibility with the latest iPad models.

While Gurman previously ruled out the likelihood of an Apple Event for the new iPads, the tech giant is anticipated to make the announcement via a press release on its Apple Newsroom website, mirroring the recent rollout of MacBook Air models equipped with the M3 chip.
